3 Beneficial Supplements To Include In Your Diet

I may not be a nutritionist yet, but I do know a thing or two about the importance of essential vitamins and minerals for proper functioning of the body. Therefore, If your diet isn’t rich in fruits, vegetables and nutritious foods, you are probably deficient in essential vitamins and nutrients that are vital to your overall health.  And while many of us do consume comparatively “healthy diets”, rich in an abundance of whole foods, chances are you probably aren’t getting enough to fill in nutritional gaps, thus, protecting your body against occasional diet slip-ups. Especially since so much of our foods today are grown in soil lacking adequate nutrients and with the possibility of our meats and produce, being injected with health threatening additives and hormones.

On the contrary, taking supplemental vitamins may not provide any optimal health benefits if you are not lacking in any essential vitamins and/or minerals (as approved by you physician) and don’t feel a need to implement them into your diet. If this sounds like you then congratulations, you are getting all the essential vitamins you need on a regular basis. Nevertheless, supplements do offer and easy, just-in-case option whenever you may need it!

Here are my list of 3 beneficial supplements to incorporate into your diet and how they can benefit you. Do you need them?

But before we jump into the list, here are some things to keep in mind when buying any dietary supplements……

  1. Always consult with your doctor before making any dietary changes.
  2. Good, high-quality multi-vitamin formulas are derived using pure, biologically formulated ingredients with live/active molecules and do not contain any ingredients that are toxic, contains allergens or artificial ingredients. In fact, the best whole-food vitamins do not contain any GMOs, artificial flavors/ingredients, wheat, soy, gluten or diary and is certified vegetarian and/or vegan.
  3. If  you are taking any prescribed medication, consult with your doctor before hand to be sure  there aren’t any contradictions or complications.
  4. With very little regulation on dietary supplements in the U.S., do your research prior to making your final purchase and be sure to purchase your supplements from a reputable company and brand.
