4 APPS to get you through the Week!

Deciding which apps to download to my phone (and other tech devices) from a list of thousands available in the App Store can sometimes be a hit or miss – especially if you are like me and like your home screen to look clean with as few apps as possible.

I like it when my home screen is organized and my apps are easily accessible, therefore the apps that are currently on my iPhone all play a vital role in my daily lifestyle habits, including fitness, daily mediation, staying hydrated and taking daily vitamins.

Sworkit, Simple Habit, Round Health and Drink Water Reminder are apps that have all contributed positively to my commitment to making daily health conscious decisions. Besides being my current favorites, here is why these are my highest recommendations:


ROUND HEALTH

In efforts to avoid deficiencies while following a vegan diet, I’ve been supplementing several essential nutrients into my diet including vitamin B12, Iron, and vegan Omega-3.

But sometimes my days can get super busy and I may forget to do minor, yet important things, like taking my vitamins however, since downloading Round Health I have yet to miss a dose!

This app is one of the best ways to remember and keep a record of your medication and vitamin intake.

I highly recommend this app as I give it a rating of 5 out of 5 stars.


SIMPLE HABIT

Simple Habit is a 5-minute daily meditation app designed to encourage humans to stress less, achieve more and live better while promoting habit building.

Committed to practicing daily self-care rituals, including practices that nourish my mind, body and soul, this app has allowed me to commit 5 minutes of my time every day to myself – During which I am able to regulate my thought and emotions through self-awarness.

This app in addition, has helped to:

  • Improve my mood throughout the day (as I am more happy, calm and relaxed)
  • Improve my concentration and organize my thoughts
  • Decrease my anxiety
  • Improve my productivity as it helps me clear my thoughts
  • Stress Less

DRINK WATER REMINDER

We all know how important drinking water on a daily basis is for our health but, most of us aren’t drinking enough of it.

The drink water reminder app was designed to help you track the amount of water you consume, remind you to drink water throughout your day and informs you of just how much water you should consume in relation to your weight and current state of health.

This app has been perfect for keeping track of my daily water intake. Although, consumed mostly water and do not drink any conventional, store brought or bottled juice, the drink water reminder app has helped me to stay on top of my water intake especially on busy work days.

I highly recommend this app as I give it a rating of 5 out of 5 stars.


SWORKIT

I’ve never been a fan of public gyms, as Iwould much rather workout at home but,1 sometimes I feel uninspired and crave the guidance of a trainer and a fitness routine to go along with it.

Sworkit has taken my home workouts to a whole other level as it features a variety of guided workout plans that can be done in as little as 15 minutes.

Designed by personal trainers, each fitness plan can help you reach your individual fitness goals. The app has over 50 workout plans including Yoga, Streching and Muscle Building among others. And the best part? You can work out in intervals of 5 to 60 minutes per session according to your personal schedule with customizable options like, workout difficulty, exercise category (upper body, lower body, strectching), stance (floor, standing, seated), impact level (low, normal, high) among others.

It’s like having your very own personal training sessions in the comfort of your home !
